Southern Alberta

CIM's Southern Alberta Branch is perfectly representative of the vital spirit of the West within CIM. Along with Northern Alberta Branch, Southern Alberta provides us with a strong presence in Alberta. Southern Alberta has given the Institute National Presidents, Directors and Western Region Presidents. Among its other contributions, this Branch has also hosted the 1988 Conference. Calgary was granted a charter in 1974, and currently has 150 members. The Branch is managed by a Board of six Directors, and offers dinner meetings, graduation events, golf tournaments, newsletters, etc.

Cape Breton

Cape Breton Branch has represented CIM for many years now, and has progressed from a Branch which focused almost solely on education to a full-service Branch with an active Board of Directors and a bright future. Cape Breton is a member of the Institute's Atlantic Region.

Cape Breton uses the following educational institutions:

The highly popular CSM program is offered solely through Highland Resources College. Graduates from this program are subsequently encouraged to obtain their CIM certification through the correspondences program with National Office.

Canadian Institute of Management accepts credits earned through the Bachelor of Business Administration program at Cape Breton University as equivalencies for the C.I.M. designation upon application by the student or graduate of the program.

CIM's London Branch is, and has been over the years, a strong representative of the Institute in south-western Ontario, and a good source of people for CIM. Nova Scotia

Mainland Nova Scotia Branch is a strong partner and representative of the Institute in Atlantic Canada. In addition to hosting a recent conference, it has given CIM both extremely able National Presidents and National Directors in recent years. Mainland Nova Scotia Branch boasts very healthy education and member programs.

Halifax also sponsors a satellite branch in New Glasgow. This satellite features the same membership classes and fee structures as Halifax itself.
